This place is for skiers only, not for snowboarders. As we are with small children, we only played with sleds. Playing in their "wanpaku hiroba" is free. Different kinds of sleds are rent free.

It seems this ski resort was ski-only until 2025, but snowboarding had a soft opening in mid-March, and it's now fully open to snowboarding from 2026. We had a great time in 2026 as well. The staff at the lift stations were friendly and welcoming, and their parking guidance in the cold weather was truly commendable. Thanks to them, order was maintained, making for a comfortable experience. It was a great help. Despite the generally low snowfall and warm weather this year, the maintenance staff worked incredibly hard. Thank you again. The course conditions were streamed on X, which was very helpful for understanding the situation. The courses themselves are challenging and very enjoyable. This season, I was defeated by the moguls, but I'm already fired up for next season. The kids' courses are long and gentle, and I think children will really enjoy them. However, for adults, the lift rides feel slow and long, which might be a bit of a pain (lol). I learned my lesson the hard way and now I only ski on the intermediate and advanced courses easily accessible from the second parking lot. The intermediate and advanced courses are also very enjoyable. The Fir Tree Ice Rime course is long, so I enjoyed it. Snowboarding seems to be less well-known, as I observed that only about 10-20% of the skiers were snowboarders during the 2025-2026 season (mainly on Saturdays). Skiers make up the vast majority, so snowboarders should be very careful of those behind them when making deep turns (there are many advanced skiers, and they'll catch up very quickly). Let's all enjoy ourselves without accidents or injuries. I always look forward to lunch at Restaurant Baum. All the menu items look delicious. After ordering, you wait until your number and menu are called, but even while eating, hearing other people's orders being called often makes me want to try something else, like the fried horse mackerel set meal or the stewed offal set meal. For those with a sweet tooth, the menu at Cafe Shirokuma is a dangerous temptation. It relentlessly tempts you, completely disregarding calorie countless times. The excuse, "Well, I exercise, so it's okay," pops into your head. Be warned! The photo shows a limited-edition item from Cafe Shirokuma (I think the name was Double Cheese... or was it Double Cheeseburger?). The patty is about three times thicker than that of a certain nationwide burger chain. It contains two plump, thick, and juicy patties. The coarsely ground meat is a nice touch... ahh. The small pickles are crunchy, and their moderate acidity complements the meat and cheese perfectly. Furthermore, the sweet and savory sauce makes your appetite unstoppable, and before you know it, only the potato chips are left. Honestly, I wrote this review mainly because I wanted to write a burger review. Give it a try if you're interested!
